history

Until the church is planted

The place was one of the original parishes in the area in the Middle Ages with up to 60 branch churches. As part of the Hochstift Würzburg , which was part of the Franconian Empire from 1500 , Pfarrweisach was secularized in 1803 in favor of Bavaria and in the Peace of Pressburg in 1805 left to Archduke Ferdinand of Tuscany to form the Grand Duchy of Würzburg . The rights of the Barons von Stein on the spot also fell to Bavaria in 1814.

Incorporations

On July 1, 1971, the previously independent municipality of Rabelsdorf was incorporated. Junkersdorf an der Weisach was added on January 1, 1978 . Kraisdorf and Lohr as well as most of the dissolved municipality of Lichtenstein followed on May 1, 1978.

The 1st mayor has been Markus Oppelt (CSU-SPD-FWG-KUL) since May 2020. In the runoff election on March 29, 2020, he prevailed against Christoph Göttel by 42 votes (564 against 522 votes or 51.93% against 48.07%). His predecessor was Ralf Nowak (ULB) since 2014. At that time he prevailed against Markus Oppelt by 7 votes ahead (421 against 414 votes or 50.42% against 49.58%). Its predecessor was Hermann Martin (ULB).

The second mayor has been Christoph Göttel (CSU-SPD-FWG-KUL) since May 2020. Sebastian Bock (CSU-SPD-FWG-KUL) has also been the third mayor since May 2020.

In 2017 there were 126 jobs subject to social security contributions in the municipality. Of the resident population, 691 people were in employment subject to compulsory insurance. This means that the number of out-commuters was 566 more than that of in-commuters. 15 residents were unemployed. In 2016 there were 40 farms.

Pfarrweisach is on the federal road 279 . There is a rail connection in Ebern , seven kilometers away , because the northern part of the Breitengüßbach – Maroldsweisach railway with a stop in Pfarrweisach has been shut down and dismantled.

In 2018 there was a day-care center with 62 approved places and 62 visitors.
