Krzyżanów (German Krzischney ; also: Krischney ; 1929-1945: Kreuzdorf ; Czech Křižanov ) is a village in the powiat Kłodzki in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship in Poland . It belongs to the rural community Lewin Kłodzki ( Lewin ) and is located seven kilometers west of Duszniki-Zdrój ( Bad Reinerz ).

Krzyżanów is located west of the Kłodzko Basin . Neighboring towns are Lewin Kłodzki in the north, Witów ( Nerbotin , 1937–1945: Markrode ) in the northeast, Jawornica ( Jauernig ) in the east, Jerzykowice Małe ( Kleingeorgsdorf ) and Kocioł ( Kuttel ) in the southeast, Taszów ( Tassau ) in the south and Jarków ( Järker ) in the West.

history

"Krzizanow" originally belonged to the Nachod rule in the old Bohemian Königgrätzer Kreis and was first mentioned in a document in 1477 with a Vorwerk . At that time, Duke Heinrich d. Ä. , to which the dominions Nachod and Hummel as well as the county Glatz belonged since 1472 , the entire parish Lewin, to which Krzischney belonged, in the dominion Hummel and this in the same year in his county Glatz. For the year 1560 the spelling "Krissenaw", for the year 1606 the spelling "Krzischney" is documented. After the dissolution of the Hummel rule, the town of Lewin acquired the chamber village of Krzischney in 1684.

After the First Silesian War in 1742 and finally after the Peace of Hubertusburg in 1763, it came to Prussia together with the County of Glatz . In 1793 it consisted of 14 houses in which 72 people lived. After the reorganization of Prussia, it belonged to the province of Silesia from 1815 and was incorporated into the district of Glatz from 1816–1945 . It formed its own rural community and belonged to the Tassau district . In 1929 it was renamed "Kreuzdorf". In 1939 there were 71 inhabitants.

As a result of the Second World War , Kreuzdorf fell to Poland in 1945, like almost all of Silesia, and was renamed Krzyżanów . The German population was expelled . Some of the new residents were displaced from eastern Poland . 1975-1998 Krzyżanów belonged to the Wałbrzych Voivodeship ( Waldenburg ).
