Wadym Viktorovich Kulabuchow ( Ukrainian Вадим Вікторович Кулабухов ; born April 17, 1969 in Angarsk , Russian SFSR , Soviet Union ) is a former Ukrainian ice hockey player and current coach who played in the 2nd Bundesliga for almost ten years .
Career
Wadym Kulabuchow began his career as a hockey player at SchWSM Kiev , for which he was active in the Vysschaya League from 1986 to 1988 . He then played for five years in parallel for SHWSM in the second Soviet (later Russian) division, as well as the league rivals HK Sokol Kiev in the Soviet ice hockey league and Russian super league . From 1993 to 1995 the attacker played for HC Slavia Prague , with whom he achieved promotion from the 1st division to the Extraliga in the 1993/94 season , in which he scored two goals in six games in the following season.
In the summer of 1995, Kulabuchow moved to ES Weißwasser in the German Ice Hockey League . When the Saxons withdrew to the second-class first division at the end of the season for financial reasons , the Ukrainian stayed with the club. After a year with the Bayreuth Tigers in the Oberliga Süd , the left shooter returned to Weißwasser , for which he was on the ice until 2005. With the club, which has now been renamed Lausitzer Füchse , he succeeded in direct promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga in the 2003/04 season after relegation in 2003 . The former national player ended his career after the 2006/07 season at the Adendorfer EC , with whom he had previously been relegated from the fourth-class regional league to the Nord / Ost association league in 2006 , but achieved direct promotion.
The former winger has been coaching the Ukrainian U20 national team since the 2007/2008 season.
