The Kuwaiti U-23 national soccer team is a selection team of Kuwaiti soccer players . It is subordinate to the Kuwaiti Football Association KFA and represents it internationally at the U-23 level , for example in friendly matches against the teams of other national associations, at the U-23 Asian championships , the U-23 tournament of the Golf Cup and the soccer tournaments of the Summer Olympic Games and the Asian Games .
So far, the team has qualified twice for the Olympic football tournament, but both times did not get past the group stage. Kuwait took part in the U-23 Asian Cup once, but was also eliminated in the group stage. The team has not yet won the U-23 golf cup, but achieved second place in both 2010 and 2015 . Kuwait took part in the Asian Games four times and made it to the quarter-finals in 2002 .
Eligible to play are players who have not yet reached the age of 23 and who are Kuwaiti citizens .
