The La Trobe University is a university in Melbourne in the Australian state of Victoria .
Founded La Trobe in 1967 as the third university in Victoria; Name giver is the first governor of Victoria Charles La Trobe . In addition to the main location in Bundoora , a district of Melbourne, there are locations in the twin cities of Albury - Wodonga , Beechworth , Bendigo , Mildura , Melbourne City and Shepparton .
