The Langenselbolder Dreieck is a motorway triangle near Langenselbold in the Rhine-Main area in Hesse . Here the federal highway 66 ( Wiesbaden - Frankfurt am Main - Fulda ) joins the federal highway 45 ( Dortmund - Gießen - Aschaffenburg ). The lanes to the 854 district road are also integrated into the motorway triangle .

The triangle lies in the municipality of Langenselbold . The surrounding towns and communities are Rückingen , Niederrodenbach and Langendiebach . It is located southwest of Langenselbold city center and north of Niederrodenbach and east of Langendiebach.

The motorway triangle bears the number 42 on the A 45 and number 39 on the A 66.

Development condition and design

In this area, the A 45, just like the A 66, has four lanes. At the Langenselbolder Dreieck there is a parallel run of two motorways, which is rare in Germany. The A 66 and A 45 form a common eight-lane motorway at the Langenselbolder Dreieck until these are then unbundled again at the Hanauer Kreuz, about 2.75 kilometers away .
