Lednické Rovne (until 1927 Slovak also "Lednica Rovné"; German Lednitz-Rowne , Hungarian Lednicróna - until 1902 Lednicrovnye - older also Rovnye ) is a larger industrial community on the right bank of the river Waag in Trenčiansky kraj ( Okres Púchov ), Slovakia .
The community has 4011 inhabitants, mostly Slovakian nationals. The place was first mentioned in a document in 1471 as Rowne , the addition of "Lednické" to the name indicates its location on the Lednica river . The place was known for the castle. In 1892 the entrepreneur J. Schreiber founded a glass factory here, which is still in operation today. Until 1925 there was the independent place Prečínska Lehota on the left side of the Lednica river , which was then united to become today's municipality. Thus, the place no longer appears as a separate district.
There is a historical park in the municipality with an old church ruin.
In addition to the actual place, the municipality also includes the three villages Horenice , Hôrka and Medné . Horenice and Hôrka were united in 1955 to form the municipality of Horenická Hôrka and incorporated in 1976, Medné came to Lednické Rovne in 1960.
