Lysá pod Makytou ( Slovak. "Lysá under the Makyta ", until 1927 just "Lysá"; Hungarian Fehérhalom - until 1902 Lissza or older Lisza ) is a municipality in north-western Slovakia . It is located in the valley of the Biela voda river below the Lisbon Pass between the White Carpathians and the Javorník Mountains , about 15 km from Púchov in Slovakia and 32 km from Vsetín in the Czech Republic .
The first written mention was in 1471 as Lyzsa . The municipality also includes Dešná and Strelenka .
In the Strelenka part of the municipality there is a road and rail border crossing ( Púchov – Horní Lideč railway ) to the Czech Republic ( Střelná municipality ).
