The women's discus throw at the 1946 European Athletics Championships was held on August 23, 1946 in the Bislett Stadium in the Norwegian capital, Oslo .

The European champion was the Soviet thrower Nina Dumbadze . She won ahead of Ans Niesink from the Netherlands . Bronze went to Jadwiga Wajs from Poland .

Soviet Union 1923Soviet Union Nina Dumbadse equalized the existing championship record in the qualification. In the final, she became European champion with a width that was 28 centimeters shorter.
