The 1998/99 season of performance class A was the tenth edition of the top division in Swiss women's ice hockey and at the same time the 13th Swiss championship. The title was won for the second time in a row by the EV Zug women's team , with the outstanding Jeannette Marty having a large share in more than half of her club's goals and scoring 60 points in 20 games.

The syndicate of Grasshopper Club / Zürcher SC climbed into the performance class B from.
