Lichterfelde is a district of the municipality Altmärkische Wische in the district of Stendal in Saxony-Anhalt .

geography

Lichterfelde is a long row village in the Wische between Seehausen (Altmark) and Werben (Elbe) in the north of the Altmark on the river Tauber Aland .

Subdivision breakdown

The residential area Ferchlipp belongs to the district of Lichterfelde .

history

The first documentary mention of Lichterfelde comes from the year 1310 as in curia Lichterfelde . The von dem Knesebeck owned a farm there. Further mentions are 1322 lichteruelde , 1333 villa Liechterveld , 1520 im dorpe to Lichteruelde and 1687 Lichterfelde .

Like many other villages in the Wische, Lichterfelde was created in the time of Albrecht the Bear (1157–1170). This was only possible through the dikes of the Elbe and Aland that took place at that time. Then the Wische could be populated with larger localities. Margrave Albrecht the Bear won settlers from Holland, Zealand and Flanders as colonists in 1157 . It can be proven that individual farmsteads were already there.

Origin of the place name

An explanation of the place name Lichterfelde reads "Field on a forest bare", ie a field in a clearing . Another version is: Lichterfelde probably got its name from the settlers who came from Lichtervelde , which is now in Flanders in Belgium.

Muntenack

Muntenack was adesertone kilometer south of the village. The village was first mentioned in 1401. A field width previously bore the name of the submerged village.

Incorporations

On October 1, 1938, the communities of Lichterfelde and Ferchlipp were merged to form a new community of Lichterfelde . The former community of Ferchlipp was listed as a district of Lichterfelde in 1957, but no longer as a place to live in 1986 .

Up to December 31, 2009, Lichterfelde was an independent municipality with the Ferchlipp residential area and belonged to the now dissolved Seehausen (Altmark) administrative community .

The municipal councils of the municipalities of Falkenberg (January 19, 2009), Lichterfelde (January 19, 2009), Neukirchen (Altmark) (January 9, 2009) and Wendemark (January 16, 2009) decided that their Municipalities dissolved and united into a new municipality with the name Altmärkische Wische . This contract was approved by the county as the lower local supervisory authority and came into effect on January 1, 2010.
