The Liga Vitalis 2009/10 was the 20th season of the second highest Portuguese football league . The season began on August 13, 2009 and ended on May 8, 2010.

The season was played with 16 teams. From the Primeira Liga there was only one relegation, as CF Estrela Amadora had to relegate to the IIª Divisão due to financial problems . At the same time, four clubs were promoted to the Vitalis League, because there were three relegated teams in the preseason .
