Ligota Wołczyńska ( German Konstadt-Ellguth , also Ellguth-Constadt ) is a place of Gmina Wołczyn in the Opole Voivodeship in Poland .

Geographical location

Ligota Wołczyńska is located in the northwestern part of Upper Silesia in the Kreuzburger Land. The village of Ligota Wołczyńska is about one kilometer west of the municipality seat Wołczyn , about 15 kilometers northwest of the district town of Kluczbork and about 48 kilometers northeast of the voivodeship capital Opole .

The Droga Krajowa 42 road runs through the village .

history

In 1406 the village was first mentioned as Elgot .

In 1845 the village consisted of 69 houses. In the same year 541 people lived in Konstadt-Ellguth, 22 of them Catholic and three Jewish. In 1861 there were 506 people in Konstadt-Ellguth. In 1874 the Konstadt-Ellguth district was founded. In 1885 there were 467 people in the village.

In 1933 there were 479 people in Konstadt-Ellguth, and 397 in 1939. Until 1945 the village belonged to the Kreuzburg OS district

As a result of the Second World War, Konstadt-Ellguth, like most of Silesia, fell under Polish administration in 1945 . The place was subsequently renamed Ligota Wołczyńska and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950 it was incorporated into the Opole Voivodeship. In 1999 the place came to the newly founded Powiat Kluczborski ( Kreuzburg district ).
