Individual evidence
- ↑ Cf. Kartusch, p. 39, and Eubel, p. 5. Kartusch indicates that Honorius III. eight cardinals created. But Cardinal Giovanni Colonna was certainly still by Innocent III. created, see Maleczek, p. 154 ff. Cardinal priest Bertrandus of SS. Giovanni e Paolo is in all probability associated with that of Innocent III. created cardinal deacons Bertrannus by S. Giorgio identical, cf. Maleczek, p. 170. The cardinals Niccolo of S. Maria in Aquiro (1216) and Roberto Rainaldi of SS. Giovanni e Paolo mentioned by Salvador Miranda cannot be identified in the sources, cf. Kartusch, pp. 433–434 and Eubel, p. 5, note 4; see also the remarks by Miranda himself (“ did not subscribe any papal bulls ”) Cardinal Priest Leone of S. Marcello appears only once, in a privilege of April 3, 1222; However, the tradition of this document is very poor and it is probably about Cardinal Priest Leone Brancaleone of S. Croce (1202 to 1224), cf. Eubel, p. 43 Note 1 (on S. Marcelli).
