Individual evidence
- ↑ Eubel, p. 9. After Cardella, p. 8–9 (following him Salvador Miranda: Visconti, Giovanni. In: Salvador Miranda : The Cardinals of the Holy Roman Church. (Website of the Florida International University , English), but with Doubt), two other cardinals were created by Gregory X around 1275: his nephew Giovanni Visconti (as Cardinal Bishop of Sabina), and Teobaldo de Ceccano , Abbot of Fossanova (as cardinal priest). But Giovanni Visconti as Cardinal Bishop of Sabina is not possible because of Bertrand at this time and his existence is not guaranteed by any document known to us; Abbot Teobaldo von Fossanova is nowhere referred to in contemporary sources as a cardinal (see Stapper, pp. 35–36, note 3; and Sternfeld, pp. 200–201, note 35; cf. also Eubel, p. 9, note 3 ).
