List of cultural assets in Lauterbrunnen

The list of cultural assets in Lauterbrunnen contains all objects in the municipality of Lauterbrunnen in the canton of Bern that are subject to the Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict , the Federal Act of June 20, 2014 on the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict and the Ordinance of 29 June 2014 October 2014 on the protection of cultural property in the event of armed conflict .

Objects in categories A and B are completely included in the list, objects in category C are currently missing (as of January 1, 2018). Among other monuments protected objects are found, the "worthy of protection" in the canton of Bern Bauinventar than are listed.

Preserved remains of a furnace and other buildings that belonged to a mine for the extraction of silver , lead and iron . The mine was officially in operation from 1638 to 1805, locals continued to mine it on a smaller scale until around 1860.

The aerial cable car from Lauterbrunnen valley to Schilthorn was built between 1965 and 1967 with a total difference in altitude of 2107 meters, divided into three sections. The bottom leads from Stechelberg via Gimmelwald to Mürren, the middle one from Mürren to Birg and the top one from Birg to the revolving restaurant Piz Gloria on the Schilthorn summit.

The church building, built in 1831/32, is a hall church in the classicistic style, to which is attached the Heimatstil tower with an octagonal helmet, which was redesigned in 1955 . The massive plastered building, which replaced a previous building from 1488, has a base made of limestone blocks and a subtle cantilever apse on the south side .

Electricity station built in 1897 to generate traction power for the Bernese Oberland Railways . The massive, originally late Classicist plastered building under a gable roof with a Heimatstil extension from 1923 is characterized by its many-sidedness and its details and simulates a chalet on the south facade . A square staircase tower with lunette windows and a pyramid-shaped, curved helmet dominates the east.

Church of England building , built in 1878 for English tourists , based on plans by George Edmund Street . The neo-Gothic structure under a gable roof is a shingle- edged stand construction on a base made of stone blocks and has a rectangular choir drawn in on one side . An exposed beam ceiling characterizes the interior.

Outdoor pool built in 1931 in the New Building style , consisting of a swimming pool with non-swimmers and diving tower areas as well as cloakroom and pavilion wing. The roofs of the reinforced concrete skeleton buildings with their railings give the impression of a ship's railing. The semicircular pavilion with an open-air restaurant is dominant, while the two-storey cloakroom wing closes off the area on the mountain side.
