List of landscapes in Saxony
The list of landscapes in Saxony includes landscapes of Saxony. A classification cannot be realized according to uniform standards, because commonly known landscape names mostly represent a mixture of historical regions and physical-geographical objects. Some well-known landscape names - for example Upper Lusatia - describe a conglomeration of natural spaces and geological zones, while other, scientifically proven toponyms are only known in the respective departments of the universities. In the following, landscape names in common use as well as only regionally known or only used in science are listed. Overall, Saxony belongs to both Eastern and Central Germany .
