Description: Legend series - Devil's Bridge . According to legend, the devil helped with the Devil's Bridge near Schöllenen after he had made a pact with the people of the village. The first soul to cross the bridge should belong to the devil as a reward. After being tricked by a farmer with a goat that he chased across the bridge, he tried to destroy the bridge with a rock. A woman scribbled a cross on the rock so that the devil missed the bridge. This alleged rock lies next to Göschenen as a «devil's stone» . | |||||

Description: Legends series - Rhaetian snake queen . According to the legend, three snakes went swimming in the spring in the Münstertal . Two of the snakes wore a crown in the air over the third. They had to take off the crown for the bath. A farmer found the crown in the grass and took it with him. After the bath, the snakes desperately searched for the crown and when they could not find it, the crowned queen killed herself. Since that day there has been a plague of snakes in the village, which could only be removed by a black magician. | |||||

The stone blocks that fell out of the basket later swam down the Saane and were then used by the devil as the foundation pillar of the bridge at Thusy . | |||||
