The castle ruins of Ödes Schloss on the small Umlaufberg south-east of the monastery were also called Stein am Kamp or, after the former owner Reinprecht Turs von Lichtenfels, Tursenstein . The first owners were probably the Counts of Poigen-Rebgau . In 1288 the castle was owned by Heinrich von Stein, a feudal knight of the Lords of Sunnberg. In 1347 it went to the Tursen and in 1396 to the Altenburg Abbey with the condition that the castle be broken. The ruin lies on steeply sloping terrain accessible from the south. The preserved parts include broken stone and stone wall remains , four to five meter high parts of the surrounding wall with compensation layers , tower-like wall parts in the northeast and below it remains of a stone bridge with barrel arches .

The stately residence is a two-storey, hook-shaped complex with a rear utility wing. The main front is characterized by Ortsteinquaderung , circulating Konsolengesims and a gable front with Schopfwalm over Giebelfußgesims. In the profiled, framed gable field there are hatches and windows in profiled stone frames with grooved sills and profiled lintel beams. The facility is accessible through a round arch portal in a square frame field with fighters and volute wedge stone. The entablature marked 1613 is marked by several building inscriptions by the abbot Zienner. On the high hipped roof there are chimneys with cornices and dormers with stepped gables. The barrel-vaulted entrance with lunettes, three-part longitudinal mirror and beading , egg and dart and foliage occupied ridges has stuccoed crosses and angel heads in the spandrels and mirror fields. On the ground floor there are barrel-vaulted rooms and those with hanging pegs . A niche figurine of St. John Nepomuk from the 18th century is attached to the farm wing with quarry stone and enclosure wall.
