List of Prussian miners
The mines, or chief mining is the respective top officials of a mining authority . In the Kingdom of Prussia , which is large in terms of area , there were several upper mining offices , whose jurisdiction was divided as follows under the General Mining Act for the Prussian States of June 24, 1865 :
- Oberbergamt Breslau for the provinces of Silesia , Poznan and Prussia
- Oberbergamt Halle for the provinces of Saxony , Brandenburg and Pomerania
- Oberbergamt Dortmund for the province of Westphalia with the exception of a few areas and of the Rhine province the districts of Nees, Duisburg and Essen as well as parts of the districts of Düsseldorf and Elberfeld. From 1866 also parts of the newly formed province of Hanover .
- Oberbergamt Bonn for the Rhine province with the exception of the aforementioned districts, from the province of Westphalia the Duchy of Westphalia, the counties Wittgenstein-Wittgenstein and Wittgenstein-Berleburg, the Principality of Siegen and the offices of Burbach and Neunkirchen as well as the Hohenzollern Lands . From 1866 the Duchy of Nassau .
- Oberbergamt Clausthal for the newly formed provinces of Hanover (with exceptions) and Schleswig-Holstein as well as the former Electorate of Hesse .
