action
The series revolves around 15-year-old identical twins Liv and Maddie Rooney, who couldn't be more different. Liv is a happy, energetic girl and stars in a television series, while Maddie is an athletic basketball player on the school team. When Liv returns home to Wisconsin from Hollywood, they quickly discover that the two confrontations are inevitable, especially when Liv becomes a star at Maddie's High School.
characters
main characters
Olivia "Liv" Rooney ( Dove Cameron ) is one of the twin sisters. At the beginning of the plot, she returns from Hollywood , where she lived for several years and starred her own television show Sing it Loud . She is very interested in fashion and music. At the beginning she had a relationship with the skateboarder Miller White, which she ended in Skate-a-Rooney (1.06). She turns 16 in the episode Sweet 16-A-Rooney (1.09). Since she was born at 11:56 pm and is 6 minutes older than Maddie, Liv's birthday is one day earlier than her sister's. Towards the end of the first season, she tries to get the role of a werewolf in a book adaptation. In Flashback-A-Rooney , Karen tells that "Olivia" is her real name. She plays the superhero Sky Volt in the series Voltage, which is filmed in her home town. She gets together with Holden in the middle of season 3. In season 4, she ends her role as Sky Volt. In California she takes on her old role from "Sing it Loud" in the second part of the program.
Madison "Maddie" Rooney ( Dove Cameron ) is the younger of the twin sisters. Unlike her sister, she is active in sports and the captain of the basketball team at school. She has a relationship with Diggie, but the two split up at the beginning of the third season. She later developed an interest in Josh, who is coming to Wisconsin in Season 3 and is in Voltage. She gets together with him in the middle of season 3, but at the end of season 3 she gets back together with Diggi. She often uses the expression “Bam! What ?! "(in the original" Bam! What ?! "). In Flashback-A-Rooney , Karen tells that "Madison" is her real name.
Joseph "Joey" Gilligeon Rooney ( Joey Bragg ) is the younger brother of Liv and Maddie by one year. He's interested in technology and is described as a nerd . He has little success with girls, other than Willow, whom he doesn't like. At the end of season 3, he lets the family house collapse, which is why they all move to California. From the fourth season he is the most popular student at the school and calls himself a falcon (in the original Falcon )
Parker Ernest Rooney ( Tenzing Norgay Trainor ) is the youngest child in the family at the age of 11, a fifth grader at an unspecified school. He is intelligent for his age, but also does a lot of nonsense, for example he leaves the door open in the toilet and has built a sophisticated tunnel system through the whole house.
Karen Rooney ( Kali Rocha ) is the mother of Liv and Maddie. She works as a school psychologist. In season two, she becomes vice principal of Ridgewood High School, the school of Liv, Maddie and Joey. She sometimes calls family gatherings. Her favorite show is Downton Abbey and she's afraid of clowns .
Pete Rooney ( Benjamin King ) is the family father and coach of Maddie's sports team. He would like to get his son Joey to join a sports team. His hobby is grilling. To Maddie and Diggie, he pretends he doesn't like Diggie.
Ruby (Lauren Lindsey Donzis) is the cousin of Liv, Maddie, Joey, and Parker. She shares a room with Liv and Maddie in LA from season 4 , which is why they call her almost-sister . She plays with Liv in "Sing it Loud 2".
Minor characters
Holden Dippledorf ( Jordan Fisher ) is a neighbor of the Rooney family. He has his eye on Liv and after appearing on "Nimbus @ Night" he confessed his love to her. But Liv refuses because he hurt her friend Andy. However, in the middle of season 3, they get together when Andy notices that Liv has feelings for Holden and advises her to go out with him.
Willow (Jessica Marie Garcia) is a friend of Maddie because they both play on the same team. She has a crush on Joey, who doesn't reciprocate her feelings, but is more afraid of her. At the beginning of the third season she founded the band "The Dream" together with Liv, Andy and Holden, with which they took part in the band competition at their school and returned as the winner. At the beginning of season 4, Joey notices that he does care for Willow. The relationship doesn't last long, however, and the two split up again during Season 4.
Diggie Smalls ( Ryan McCartan ) plays on the school boys' basketball team (and is captain just like Maddie). In the first episode, he begins a relationship with Maddie. When he thinks Maddie is moving away, he wants to reveal his feelings for her to Maddie.
Stains (Bridgette Shergalis) is also on Maddie's team. It is quite small.
Ocean ( Cozi Zuehlsdorff ) befriends Liv at school. Her family lives on a sunflower farm, where they have little access to modern technology, so they don't know anything about Liv's television career. She is learning Spanish with Liv. She should befriend Liv, but the two have little in common.
Artie Smalls (Jimmy Bellinger) goes to class with Joey. The two often argue with each other about which of them is the better and smarter. In Moms-A-Rooney (1.15) it is shown that he is a big fan of Liv. He uses every opportunity to get together with Liv. Artie has 3 lackeys who are always by his side and do whatever he wants. He's also Diggie's brother. Diggie is also his role model.
Andy (Victoria Moroles) is a good friend of Liv. She has several brothers and is a blowtorch master. She was with Holden first. But he broke up with Andy on the TV show "Nimbus @ Night".
Aubrey ( Audrey Whitby ) is a schoolgirl. Like Artie and Joey, she is interested in comics.
