Ludwig Meybert (* 1893 ; † February 5, 1961 in Hamburg ) was a German actor , theater director and radio play speaker .

Life

Ludwig Meybert began his theater career after 1915 at the Hamburg Thalia Theater at the time of the management of Hermann Röbbeling , who ran the house from 1915 to 1932. He then moved to the Schiller Theater in the Hanseatic city , where he also worked as a director.

After the end of the war he came to the Hamburg Ohnsorg Theater in 1945 , which was then still called the Richard Ohnsorg Theater . He remained loyal to the house in Große Bleichen until 1956. From 1954, television began to record plays there and broadcast them nationwide. During this time, Meybert was also initially there. He was seen in 1955 in the play Das Herrschaftskind by Wilfried Wroost at the side of Walter Scherau , Heidi Kabel and Vera Gruber . According to information from the NDR , unfortunately, no broadcast-ready copies have survived from the 1950s. Like his Ohnsorg colleagues, he also appeared in numerous dialect radio plays at the Nordwestdeutscher Rundfunk Hamburg and later at its legal successor, the Norddeutscher Rundfunk, for example in a leading role in John Brinckman's comedy Peter Lurenz bi Abukir in 1952 together with Otto Lüthje , Walter Scherau and Hartwig Sievers . After his non-care period, he went on guest tours with Verner Arps to Denmark , Sweden , Portugal and Spain . At the end of his career he could still be seen in many character studies in several films, for example in the feature film Die Bande des Schreckens or with Heinz Engelmann , Wolfgang Völz and Dieter Eppler in the Stahlnetz episode E ... 605 .
