MTV Video Music Awards / Most Experimental Video
The MTV Video Music Awards for Most Experimental Video was presented from 1984 to 1987. It was the predecessor of the award for the Breakthrough Video , which was awarded from 1988 to 2010. Both categories were about honoring videos that were exceptional in their design.
