Martin Bakoš (born April 18, 1990 in Spišská Nová Ves , Czechoslovakia ) is a Slovak ice hockey player who has been under contract with HK Spartak Moscow from the Continental Hockey League since May 2020 and plays there in the position of defender .
Career
Martin Bakoš began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of the HK Spišská Nová Ves , where he was active until 2007. The winger then moved to HC Slovan Bratislava , for whose professional team he made his debut in the Slovak extra league in the 2007/08 season . In this, however, he initially only came to a single assignment, while from 2007 to 2009 he was otherwise exclusively for the U20 juniors of the club. In the 2009/10 season he spent a full season in the Slovak Extra League for the first time, but only half of it was with Slovan Bratislava, while he was in the other half for the Slovak U20 national team , which was a visiting team in the country's top division , competed in the Extraliga. From the 2010/11 season he finally prevailed in the Extraliga team of Slovan Bratislava, with which he won the Slovak championship title in the 2011/12 season.
For the 2012/13 season Slovan Bratislava was included in the Continental Hockey League , in which Bakoš came straight to his first missions. At the same time he also plays for Slovan's extraliga farm team HK 36 Skalica . From September 2014 he was under contract with the Bílí Tygři Liberec from the Czech Extraliga and won the Czech championship with the White Tigers in 2016 . He was then obliged by Kunlun Red Star from the Continental Hockey League and came there in 47 KHL games on 22 scorer points. After the end of the 2016/17 season he returned to the Bílí Tygři Liberec. In June 2018 he was signed by the Swedish Mora IK , but a few days later he signed a contract with the Boston Bruins from the National Hockey League . Until December 2018, he only worked there for the Providence Bruins farm team in the American Hockey League . He then returned to the KHL for HK Sochi . Further stations in his KHL career were Admiral Vladivostok and HK Spartak Moscow .
International
Bakoš took part in the 2010 U20 World Youth Championship for Slovakia . In the course of the tournament he scored two goals and two assists in six games.
