Carol Davila Medical and Pharmaceutical University
The Carol Davila Medical and Pharmaceutical University ( Romanian : Universitatea de Medicina si Farmacie "Carol Davila" ) was founded in 1857 by Carol Davila , the founder of the modern Romanian health system, as a national school for medicine and surgery. Over time it developed as part of the University of Bucharest . In the course of the educational reform of 1948, what was then the “Carol Davila Institute for Medicine and Pharmacy” was named a state university for medicine and pharmacy.
