Around 1470 Konrad Pöllinger zu Berg donated an early mass for the Liebfrauenkapelle in Meilenhofen. The Reformation was introduced in 1542, followed by the return to the old faith in 1625. Towards the end of the Old Kingdom , around 1800, Meilenhofen consisted of ten properties. Nine belonged to the Haimburg caste office. The following names have been handed down for this period: Schumann, Spitz, Schlierf. A half yard belonged to the Hofmark Berg; The Fürst family sat on it. The Haimburg Nursing Office exercised the highest jurisdiction .

In 1836 the repertory for the topographical atlas sheet Neumarkt zu Meilenhofen reads: "10 houses, 1 chapel, 2 brandy distilleries, 1 mill (1 grinding, 1 cutting process) on the Schwarzach." The mill burned down partially in 1883; the grinding operation was stopped in 1928. Until 1930, the municipality of Berg and Meilenhofen belonged to the Kastl district court , then to the Neumarkt district court.
