Career

After graduating from high school in his hometown, Green got a place at Towson University in Maryland , where he played from 2003 for the Tigers college team in the NCAA's Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) . After two years he decided to change university and went to Butler University in Indianapolis , where he played after a year of mandatory break due to the change of university in 2006 for two years in the Horizon League of the NCAA. With their college team Bulldogs , Green lost the final of the championship tournament of the Horizon League against the Raiders of Wright State University for the later Bundesliga player DaShaun Wood in 2007 , but the following year, Green was named “Player of the Year” in the Horizon League and MVP of the championship tournament, you could win the tournament. After they were eliminated in 2007 in the national NCAA finals tournament in the last sixteen Sweet Sixteen against defending champion Gators of the University of Florida , the Bulldogs lost in the 2008 finals in the second round against the Volunteers of the University of Tennessee .

After Green had not been selected in the NBA Draft 2008 by any club in the highest endowed professional league NBA , he signed his first professional contract with the club from Antalya in the Türkiye Basketbol Ligi . At the start of the season they lost to the German representative Deutsche Bank Skyliners in qualifying for the EuroChallenge 2008/09 . After advancing to the top division a year earlier, Antalya reached the play-offs for the Turkish championship in its second first division season , in which it was defeated defending champion Fenerbahçe Ülker as sixth in the first round . For the following season Green moved to the Ethias League to Belgacom from Liège , which moved into the play-offs for the national championship as first-placed team, in which they were defeated in the final series, however, defending champion Spirou BC Charleroi .

With the runner-up in Belgium in 2010, Green had recommended himself for the Italian first division club Bennet from Cantù . The traditional club from Lombardy improved to second place in the regular season and also moved into the play-off final series for the 2011 title, in which, however, serial champion Montepaschi Siena was defeated. For the following season Green stayed in Italy, but he moved from the first division at the foot of the Alps to the second division in Sicily to the club Sigma Basket from Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto . Fifth in the table they moved into the play-offs for the remaining promotion place, in which they were subject to the eventual winner Enel Basket from Brindisi in the semi-final series . For the following season 2012/13 Green returned to the first division and Lombardy and played for Cantùs regional rival Cimberio from Varese , who was a bit more successful than Cantù as a five-time national champion European Cup winner of the 1970s in the past. First they lost the final in the cup competition "Coppa Italia" with three points difference against defending champion Siena, but in the national team Varese took first place somewhat surprisingly after the regular season. In the play-off semi-final series there were seven games against serial champions Siena, who had to be defeated in the end.

In the 2013/14 season Green played for the Russian club from Khimki in Moscow Oblast . In the Eurocup 2013/14 Chimki lost only one game in the preliminary and intermediate rounds, but in the first and second leg in the round of 16 they were eliminated against the eventual Spanish title winner Valencia Basket Club . In the preliminary round of the regional European VTB United League 2013/14 , the team remained unbeaten, but here too they surprisingly lost in three games in the first play-off round to the eventual finalist BK Nizhny Novgorod , who also made it to the Eurocup semi-finals would have. For the season 2014/15 Green then got a contract with Paris-Levallois Basket in the French LNB Pro A .
