The following season , the Chelsea Ladies were runner-up and qualified again for the 2016/17 UEFA Women's Champions League . Bright has made more appearances than any other Chelsea player during the season and has been used in various positions in midfield and defense. In the Champions League this time they met the Wolfsburg women in the round of sixteen. After a 3-0 home defeat, Wolfsburg scored 1-1, but this was not enough to make it to the next round. In 2017 the FA WSL was switched from a summer season to the rhythm of most other European leagues and the 2017 season was held as a "Spring Series" from February to May with eight games per team. The Chelsea Ladies finished first after these eight games thanks to the better goal difference over Manchester City. Bright was used in seven of the eight games. The new season started in September 2017 and ended with the championship for Chelsea in May 2018. At the same time, the ladies took part in the UEFA Women's Champions League 2017/18 . They eliminated the German runner-up FC Bayern Munich in the round of 16 with a 1-0 home game and a 1-2 away defeat due to the away goals rule . This was followed by two wins in the round of 16 against the Swedish runner-up FC Rosengård and two wins in the quarter-finals against the French runner-up HSC Montpellier . In the semifinals it was the last stop with two defeats against the Wolfsburg team. Bright was used in all eight games. In the 2018/19 UEFA Women's Champions League , she scored her first goal at European level in a 5-0 win against Bosnian champions SFK 2000 Sarajevo in the round of 32. Here the third of the Italian championship AC Florence was eliminated with 1-0 and 6-0. After the French runner-up Paris Saint-Germain was eliminated in the quarter-finals by a more scored goal, the tour of Europe ended in the semi-finals, where Chelsea failed against French champions Olympique Lyon due to a less scored goal. In the Super League, the season ended in third place.
