Morgan County is a county in the state of Utah in the United States . In 2010, Morgan County had 9,469 residents. The administrative seat ( county seat ) is Morgan , which is also the largest city in the county.

history

Morgan County was founded in 1862. It was named after Jededia Morgan Grant , the father of Heber J. Grant , who was the head of the Mormon Church .

Morgan County had a population of 7,129 as of the 2000 census . There were 2,046 households and 1,782 families. The population density was 5 people per square kilometer. The racial the population was composed of 98.11% White, 0.04% African American, 0.18% Native American, 0.15% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, and 0.45% other races Groups; 1.07% were from two or more races.
