NGC 4090 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Sab with an active galaxy core in the constellation Coma Berenices in the northern sky . It is an estimated 326 million light years from the Milky Way and about 115,000 light years in diameter.

In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 4074 , NGC 4086 , NGC 4092 , NGC 4093 .

The object was discovered by Heinrich Louis d'Arrest on May 2, 1864 .
