NGC 4109 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sa in the constellation Canes Venatici on the northern sky . It is an estimated 316 million light years from the Milky Way and is 65,000 light years across. Together with NGC 4111 , it forms the optical galaxy pair Holm 333 .
In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 4117 , NGC 4118 , NGC 4138 , NGC 4143 .

The object was discovered by Bindon Blood Stoney on April 21, 1851 .
