NGC 4127 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sc in the constellation Giraffe at the northern sky . It is estimated to be 88 million light-years from the Milky Way and about 60,000 light-years across. It is a member of the eleven galaxies NGC 4589 group ( LGG 284 ).
The galaxies NGC 3901 , NGC 4159 and NGC 4331 are located in the same area of ​​the sky .

The object was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on December 12, 1797 .
