NGC 4129 = NGC 4130 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBab with extensive star formation areas in the constellation Virgo on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 47 million light years from the Milky Way and about 30,000 light years in diameter.
The galaxy NGC 4176 is located in the same area of the sky .
The supernovae SN 1954aa and SN 2002E (Type II) were observed here.
The object was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on March 3, 1786 .
