NGC 4112 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBb in the constellation Centaur in the southern sky . It is an estimated 113 million light years from the Milky Way and about 55,000 ly in diameter.
The object was discovered by John Herschel on March 2, 1835 .
