NGC 6074 is a gravitationally bound double galaxy, consisting of the galaxies PGC 57419 and PGC 57418 . NGC 6074-1 or NGC 6074B is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type S and has an apparent magnitude of 14.5 mag, PGC 57418 (also NGC 6074-2 or NGC 6074A ) is an elliptical galaxy of the Hubble type E in the constellation Hercules .
It was discovered on June 21, 1874 by Édouard Stephan .
