The Ministry of Security ( MSS ; English Ministry of Safety and Security ) was the Ministry of Security of Namibia . It opened up in the Ministry of the Interior in 2020 .

The ministry emerged on March 21, 2005 from the "Ministry of Prisons and Prisons" and has since included responsibility for the Namibian police . Most recently, the minister was Charles Namoloh and Vice Minister Daniel Kashikola , before Frans Kapofi took office as Minister of the Interior on March 23, 2020.

The ministry is responsible for the nationwide prison system under the name Namibian Correctional Service . The main tasks of the area are security, health services for prisoners, prison equipment, accommodation for prisoners, rehabilitation and reintegration.
