Neuendorf is a district of the community of Löwenberger Land in the north of Brandenburg .

Neuendorf is located at the natural transition from the Rüthnicker Heide to the Zehdenick-Spandauer Havel lowlands . The location extends southwest of the Großer Plötzsee and the Kleiner Plötzsee ; the latter is already in the area of Teschendorf . The residential areas Forsthaus Kerkow , Neuhof and Neuhof-Siedlung belong to the district . Neuendorf borders in the north on the district of Linde , in the east on the districts of Teschendorf, Grüneberg and Nassenheide , in the south on exclaves of the districts Großmutz and Grieben and in the south and west on the city of Kremmen .

history

Neuendorf was first mentioned in 1271 as Niendorp . Until the abolition of the manorial rule in 1872 it belonged to the Löwenberg rule and thus formed part of the Löwenberg state . In 1459 Neuendorf was called a church village . However, it is not certain whether it was still inhabited at the time. By the 16th century at the latest, Neuendorf had fallen desolately . In 1608 there was a farm yard in Neuendorf, which could have served as a residence for a nobleman . From 1699 at the latest, Neuendorf was a Vorwerk of the Löwenberg estate. In 1800 it was counted to Teschendorf.

In 1817 the place came from the Glien-Löwenberg district of the Mark Brandenburg to the district of Ruppin in the new province of Brandenburg . In 1840 Neuendorf was a manor and forest district , to which the Liebenberg forester's house belonged. In 1900 the colony and Gut Neuendorf formed a manor district , which included the Schleuen colony . In 1927 around 1018 hectares from the districts of Kerkow , Teschendorf and Löwenberg, including the forester's house Kerkow, were transferred to the Neuendorf estate. In 1928 the manor district is converted into the rural community of Neuendorf. In 1946, around 264 hectares of land were divided up in the Soviet occupation zone as part of the land reform . An agricultural production cooperative was founded in 1952.

Since the administrative reform of 1952 Neuendorf belonged to the circle Oranienburg the district Potsdam . From 1992 to 2003 the community of Neuendorf was administered by the Oranienburg-Land office and in 1993 became part of the new Oberhavel district . On December 31, 2001, Neuendorf was incorporated into the community of Löwenberger Land and has been a district ever since.
