history

The place was first mentioned in the Würzburg Lehenbuch from 1303 as "Newenkirchen". The place name means settlement near the new church and at the same time indicates that the place is a late settlement. The place was probably created by Lords von Vestenberg . It originally consisted of three farms. The Heilsbronn Monastery bought two goods there in 1335/36 under the 16th Abbot Gamsfelder . One of them was bought from the Sulz nunnery for 52 pounds Heller. 1435 took over Lords of Eyb the castle Vestenberg with all Belongings, which was also the village master of Neukirchen.

In the 16-point report of the Heilsbronn monastery office from 1608, 1 farmer is given for Neukirchen who was subordinate to the Heilsbronn monastery administration office. The other landlords are not listed. As a result of the 30 Years War , the place became deserted, although it was not burned down. It is known that the 3 courtyards of the Ansbach Abbey Office were all unoccupied in 1637.

In the official description of the Lichtenau nursing office from 1748, the place is part of the main team of Saxony. There were 11 subject families, 7 of which were from Nuremberg.

At the end of the 18th century there were 12 properties in Neukirchen. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach Hofkastenamt Ansbach , the village and community rulership was held by Vogtamt Vestenberg . The landlords were the principality of Ansbach (Vogtamt Vestenberg: 2 empty houses ; Stiftsamt Ansbach : 1 estate, 1 Gütlein; monastery administration office Heilsbronn : 1 yard), the imperial city of Nuremberg (nursing office Lichtenau: 1 half yard, 2 estates; state alms office: 2 yards) and the Nuremberg owner from Zeltner (2 goods). In addition to the property, there was also the branch church and communal buildings (shepherd's house, Brechhaus ). At that time there were 10 subject families, 5 of which were Ansbachian. From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the judiciary and chamber office of Ansbach .

As part of the community edict, Neukirchen was assigned to the Katterbach tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Katterbach, founded in 1811 . With the second community edict (1818) the place was umgemeindet to Eyb . On September 30, 1827 Neukirchen was re-grouped into the newly founded rural community Alberndorf . This was incorporated into the municipality of Saxony on January 1, 1972 as part of the regional reform .
