Neuschoo is a municipality in the integrated municipality of Holtriem in the Wittmund district in Lower Saxony , which in 2004 had around 1,200 inhabitants.

The municipality of Neuschoo extends over an area of 14.47 square kilometers. It borders (clockwise, starting in the west) on the municipalities of Westerholt , Utarp , Schweindorf and Ochtersum (all also in the joint municipality of Holtriem), the municipality of Moorweg ( joint municipality of Esens ), the municipality of Blomberg (again joint municipality of Holtriem) and in the south on the Aurich districts Dietrichsfeld and Tannenhausen .

In Neuschoo, with the inauguration of Bethlehem Church in 1868, one of the first congregations of today 's Methodist Church in Germany was founded as the daughter of a German-speaking Methodist community in America.
The Dutch mill Neuschoos, which also has a compass rose, was built in 1921 to replace another mill.

The council of the Neuschoo community consists of eleven councilors. This is the specified number for the member municipality of an integrated municipality with a population between 1001 and 2000 inhabitants. The eleven council members are elected by local elections for five years each. The current term of office began on November 1, 2016 and ends on October 31, 2021.
