Nicolas Meister (born September 28, 1999 in Vienna ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

society

Meister began his career in his hometown at SC Wiener Viktoria . In 2005 he joined the youth team at LA Riverside , where he played until he moved to SK Rapid Vienna in 2007. In 2012 he joined the youth team of SC Team Wiener Linien . In 2013 he left Vienna and went to AKA St. Pölten , where he played until 2015. In 2015 he went to the academy of FC Red Bull Salzburg . In September 2016 he was part of the Salzburg farm team , FC Liefering , for the first time .

In November 2016 he finally made his debut in the second division when he came on as a substitute for Diadié Samassékou on matchday 16 of the 2016/17 season against SC Austria Lustenau in minute 56 . He won the UEFA Youth League in 2016/17 with the FC Red Bull Salzburg U-19 team .

For the 2017/18 season he is a permanent member of Liefering's squad.

After the 2017/18 season, he left Liefering and switched to LASK , only to play as a cooperation player for the second division club FC Juniors OÖ . In November 2018 he was in the LASK squad for the first time.

In January 2020 it was awarded to the Bundesliga club SKN St. Pölten for a year and a half .

National team

Meister played for an Austrian national youth team for the first time in April 2014. In August 2015 he made his debut against Russia for the U-17 selection . With this he also took part in the European Championship in 2016 , in which they failed in the quarter-finals to Portugal . Meister was used in all four Austrian games during the tournament.

In September 2016 he played against Belgium for the U-18 team for the first time . In August 2017 he made his first appearance for the U-19 team against Norway . In March 2019 he played against Norway for the first time for the U-20 team .

In September 2019 he made his debut against Andorra for the U-21 team . In the game that Austria won 3-1, he also scored his first two goals for the U-21s.
