DFB Cup 2019/20

The Lower Saxony Cup 2019/20 is the 64th edition of the Lower Saxony men's football association cup . Two teams qualify in separate competitions for the first main round of the DFB Cup 2020/21 , as Lower Saxony is one of the three state associations with the most men's teams in play and can therefore send two teams to the club cup. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic , the matches had to be postponed from the semi-finals.

Game mode

Two separate competitions were played. On the one hand, teams from Lower Saxony will compete in the 2019/20 third division season and the 2019/20 Regionalliga Nord . In the other competition, the teams of the Oberliga Niedersachsen 2019/20 and the four district cup winners competed . Second teams are not eligible to participate. The game was played in a knockout system . After the end of normal time draw matches were not two 15-minute extended , but immediately by penalties decided. A final between the winners of the two competition trees is not planned. Lower-class teams have home rights.

The semi-finals should be played simultaneously on April 13, 2020. The match between Oldenburg and Rehden has already been scheduled for August 16, 2020, and no date has yet been set for the semi-finals between Havelse and Braunschweig. Eintracht Braunschweig withdrew from the competition on July 23, 2020.
