Niesaß is a district of the town of Oberviechtach in the Upper Palatinate district of Schwandorf in Bavaria .

Geographical location

Niesaß is located on State Road 2398 about 1.5 km south of Oberviechtach on the southern edge of the Oberviechtach granite basin.

history

Niesaß is mentioned in writing for the first time in the draft protocol of 1587. It belonged to the municipality of Obermurach. As of March 23, 1913 (Easter), Niesaß was listed as part of the Oberviechtach parish with nine houses and 52 residents. On December 31, 1990 Niesaß had 32 inhabitants and belonged to the parish of Oberviechtach.
