Geographical location

Lind is located between Oberviechtach and Gaisthal on State Road 2160 , which branches off from State Road 2159 to the south about three kilometers east of Oberviechtach .

history

Lind was first mentioned in writing in 1285 in the Duke's Surbar as the property of Duke Ludwig II of Upper Bavaria .

In the draft protocols of 1587, Lind is listed as an independent municipality. Lind was a rural community in the Oberviechtach Regional Court of the Neunburg vorm Wald district office and was reclassified in 1900 to the newly formed Oberviechtach district office , the forerunner of the Oberviechtach district . On January 1, 1972, the community was incorporated with all districts to Oberviechtach.

On March 23, 1913 (Easter), Lind was listed as part of the Oberviechtach parish with 15 houses and 102 residents. In 1969, Lind was a community with 190 inhabitants, to which in addition to the village of Lind also Bruderbügerl, Herzoghof, Hornmühle, Schönthan, Werneröd and Ziegelhäusl belonged.
