Noisy-le-Roi is a French commune in the department of Yvelines in the region Ile-de-France . It is located in the arrondissement of Versailles , belongs to the canton of Verneuil-sur-Seine and has 7550 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017). The inhabitants are called Noiséens .

geography

Noisy-le-Roi is located on the Versailles plain on the Forêt de Marly , a 20 square kilometer wooded area, and in the Ru de Gally valley . Noisy-le-Roi is surrounded by the neighboring communities of L'Étang-la-Ville in the north, Bailly in the east, Fontenay-le-Fleury in the south, Rennemoulin in the southwest and Villepreux and Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche in the west.

history

Since the late 13th century, the place was under the rule of the La Villeneuve family. 1438 raged in Noisy de Pest. In 1526 the village came into the possession of the Diane de Poitiers, who passed it on to her heir, Albert de Gondi, duc de Retz .
