Bois-d'Arcy is a French commune in the department of Yvelines in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Versailles and the canton of Saint-Cyr-l'École . The inhabitants are called Arcysia .
geography
The small town is located twelve kilometers west of Versailles at the national road N 12. Covering an area of 548 hectares live 15,142 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017).
Attractions
- The Saint-Leu-et-Saint-Gilles church, which was completely renovated in the 20th century, dates from the 12th century.
- The Fort de Bois-d'Arcy is one of the former fortresses built in the 19th century to protect Paris.
