Nordeck is a deserted area in the district of Rhenegge in the North Hessian municipality of Diemelsee . The place was first mentioned in 1120.

Geographical location

The place was about 420 meters above sea ​​level about 1 kilometer north of Rhenegge. "In der Nordeck" is known as a field name well into the 21st century.

In 1120 the archbishop of Cologne confirmed Frederick I the monastery Flechtdorf first possession of two hooves in Nordeck; this possession was confirmed in 1194. In 1427 the brothers Friedrich and Johann from the old Padberg house and Friedrich's wife Kunigunde sold their estate with all accessories to the Flechtdorf monastery in Nordeck. In 1515 and 1516 the monastery still received income from Nordeck. In 1421 Gottschalk Lamberti sold his Kotten in Nordeck to the Bredelar Monastery with fields, gardens and all accessories.
