Nova Meierhenrich (born December 25, 1973 in Ahlen ) is a German presenter and actress .

Life and private life

Nova Meierhenrich grew up in Ahlen as the sister of three younger brothers, where she graduated from the municipal high school. In Essen she studied communication science , psychology and sociology . She worked for the Düsseldorf advertising agency BBDO before becoming a presenter in 1996. Meierhenrich lives (as of 2015) in Hamburg .

Career

She has been in front of the camera since 1996 and has worked for the television stations MDR , ProSieben , MTV , VIVA , Premiere , RTL II , Sat.1 and WDR , among others. She moderated fashion and lifestyle magazines such as INSIDE , youth magazines such as Bravo TV , the Sat.1 Saturday evening show SAG JA , reports from the Oscar awards, the Grammy , the Golden Globes and other film and music festivals such as the Berlinale , the Venice Film Festival and the Cannes Film Festival. Nova Meierhenrich is an ambassador for SOS Children's Villages , participates in the anti-fur campaign for PETA , is an ambassador for the international WDCS campaign “Stop whaling now” and, since January 2008, has been the official patron of the Ronald McDonald family home of McDonald’s Children's Aid in Hamburg . She also took part in a campaign against AIDS in 2008 and 2010. In 2010, she hosted the third HSBA - charity gala in favor of the earthquake victims in Haiti . In 2014, Nova Meierhenrich founded the non-profit association HerzPiraten together with the sailor Malte Kamrath , with which she takes care of children with heart disease.
