During the 1915 model year, the Baby Olds was replaced by the larger Oldsmobile Four Model 43 with an 8 ″ larger wheelbase. The engine was only slightly changed compared to its predecessor and, as a four-cylinder in-line engine with a displacement of 3146 cm³, had 30 bhp (22 kW). Here, too, the engine power was transmitted to the rear wheels via a leather cone clutch, a three-speed gearbox with center shift and a cardan shaft. These two rear wheels were mechanically braked.

Like the Baby Olds, the 43 model was available as a 2-door roadster and 4-door tourer. The roadster could be equipped with a mother-in-law seat on request .

In the following year, the model was built unchanged and then discontinued in favor of the reissued Six . In these two years, 3508 copies were made.

In 1921 the new Four, Model 43A, replaced the Six as an entry-level model . The new cars had a shorter wheelbase but a larger engine than the first Four. With a displacement of 3671 cm³, the four-cylinder in-line produced 44 bhp (32 kW). The leather cone clutch had given way to a single-disc dry clutch and in addition to wooden spoke wheels, there were also steel disc wheels as an option.

In addition to the open roadster and touring car versions, the new Four was also available as a 2-door coupé and 4-door sedan with a closed interior.

Production was continued in 1922, but the engine output fell to 40 bhp (29 kW). Then Oldsmobile finally turned to larger cars and only offered a four-cylinder Calais model again in 1984 . In two years, 28,706 Oldsmobile Four were built, making it by far the most successful model of the time.
