Oskar Deecke (born May 16, 1986 in Hamburg ) is a German hockey player .

At the European Under-21 Hockey Championships in Prague in 2006, Deecke was runner-up with the German U21 national team behind the Netherlands team. On July 30, 2005, he made his debut in the German national hockey team under coach Bernhard Peters . His first tournament as a national team player was the 2007 World Indoor Hockey Championship . The German national team became world champions in Vienna . In 2008 he lost with the German team the final of the European Indoor Hockey Championship in Yekaterinburg against the Russian team. On the field, the striker has been a member of the national team since second place at the 2009 European Championship in Amsterdam , and has been a member of the senior squad since 2010. At the end of 2009 he and the German team only lost to the Australian hosts in the final of the Champions Trophy . The German team also lost to the Australians in the final of the 2010 World Cup in New Delhi . In 2011 Deecke won two international titles with the German national team: that of the world champion in indoor hockey in Poznan in February, where he and Thilo Stralkowski were among the top scorers, and that of the European champion on the field in Mönchengladbach in August. In January 2012 he won the title at the European Indoor Hockey Championship in Leipzig. Deecke achieved his greatest success so far with the German team under coach Markus Weise at the 2012 Olympic Games in London when he won the gold medal in the final against the Netherlands. During the semi-final game on August 9th against the Australian team, Deecke achieved “The most spectacular goal of the tournament” in the second half, as a reporter put it, when he took a ball that Benjamin Wess had thrown up and into the empty goal via the goalkeeper steered. The goal was subsequently revoked after video evidence, as the rules of the time did not allow the bat to be carried over the shoulder. At the end of August 2013, he won the European championships with the national team in the Belgian boom . In 2015 he lost with the national team the final of the European Championship against the team of the Netherlands . In 2016 Oskar Deecke took part in games of the XXXI as a P-accredited hockey player. Olympiad. On July 16, 2016, he played his last international match against the Belgian team .

Oskar Deecke played 213 international matches, 24 of them indoors.

Oskar Deecke played including the 2005/6 season for Der Club an der Alster in Hamburg. He scored his first goal as a player in the Bundesliga team on May 4, 2003. For the 2006/7 season, he moved to Crefelder HTC , with whose team he became German indoor hockey champion in 2007 and won the European championship of national champions at HC Bloemendaal , which is now known as Euro Hockey League is played out. In 2008 the team in Perth (Scotland) became European champions of national indoor hockey champions. For the 2012/13 season Oskar Deecke moved to the Spanish Club de Campo in Madrid and played with the club in the highest Spanish league . Oskar Deecke participated with Moritz Fürste and Nicolas Jacobi in the four-week Hockey India League from January 14th to February 10th 2013. During that time a total of 34 games were played by the 5 participating teams. Oskar Deecke played with Nicolas Jacobi in the Delhi Waveriders team , which took second place. Oskar Deecke scored the first goal of this tournament and was awarded twice for the best goal of a game.

Deecke is a graduate of the German Sport University Cologne with a degree in sports science .
