Pakoštane (it. Pacostiane , Poschiane ; German Schantpag ) is a place in Croatia .
Location and inhabitants
It is located on the Adriatic Sea in Dalmatia , south of Zadar in the Zadar County (Županija zadarska). The place lies between the sea and the lake Vransko jezero . According to the 2011 census, the municipality has 4,123 inhabitants. There are four national parks and two nature parks in the area.
Villages
The Pakoštane municipality also includes the villages Drage, Vrana and Vrgada , which is located on a small island in front of Pakoštane.
